      No, I trraded it in on a 2022 F150. I had around 255,000 kilometers (158,449 miles) on it at the time. The only problem I had with the F250 was the drivers side front hub. It went (gradually started screaming) at (or before)180,000 km, changed it at a Ford dealer (Ford Part) for close to $1000.00 then again at a local Esso shop with a SKF brand at approx 195,000 km and another $800.00, Then again at approximately 210,000 km it went again and had another Ford dealer replace it, and then again at approx 225,000 km it went again and I went to my next door neighbours shop wher I moved to and he replaced it with a MOOG brand which had a replacement warranty with it, however it went again at approx 240,000 km and was replaced free of charge ,and finally around 252,000 km it went again and it was replaced free but i had to pay for labor.. The ford dealer measured everything with calipers etc and checked everything else out and could not see anyhting wrong as well as the local shops could not find anything loose, wiggling, out of round etc etc. It more or less wore out every 15,000 km after the first time. The first time it was really failing a lot earlier than 180,000 km as I thought the howling was the tires for a fait amount of time.

      @@Halscamp Sounds like something had to be "off kilter" somewhere to cause all those failures..Strange. I still have my 2016 F-350 SRW Diesel. It only has 30,000 miles. That's about to change since the Mrs. and I have retired. It did suffer a failed DEF sending unit last year on a trip to Indiana from Georgia. It was replaced by the dealer under Ford's 10 year emissions warranty. Otherwise it would have been around $1,200. I'd like to get mine deleted but the EPA has made that an expensive can of worms.

    Attempted to replace the idler pulley this way but ended up having to replace the pulley and the arm since the pulley I ordered on Amazon, did not fit the original arm!! Once I got the spring loosened, could not put it back on with just one hand so had to take the whole thing apart. It would have been much easier if I could have just replaced the pulley wheel but that did not work. Still a good start to the process. Had to take it all apart and replace the whole arm and pulley but fixed an issue that the factory made when putting it together. Thanks for the video, it was a good start and almost worked!!

    Hi…I have the same two batteries on my Travel Trailer, one of them blew up last night, sounded like thunder, approximately the same time as those did in the video. Since it’s been raining here, I thought that it was just from the storm so I just passed it off as such. However as I approached my TT, I noticed the cover blown off as well as the battery blown up. Haven’t narrowed down what caused it just as of yet.

    • @Halscamp
      @Halscamp 5 місяців тому

      Hi, just saying from experience of owning a campground for 20 years and seeing several batteries blowing up I will almost guarantee the battery was dry (low on water) and it short circuited causing a spark that caused it to blow up. These batteries need to be checked frequently to make sure there is fluid in the cells. Most (almost all) rv's do not have smart chargers built in and the battery just simply keeps charging all the time when connected to power weather it be shore power or solar power and sooner or later the battery liquid will evaporate and the constant charging will cause the battery to short circuit and spark enough to cause an explosion. THESE BATTERIES NEED CONSTANT monitoring to ensure there is electrolyte in each and all of the cells

    • @Noonewillrecognizeyou
      @Noonewillrecognizeyou 5 місяців тому

      @@Halscamp definitely agree with you. I do believe that the battery cells were very low or like you mentioned, dry. Thanks!

    I know this video is old but I have the same 400 Can Am. The 2006 is the last year with a choke and mine is so hard to start when it is cold. I can choke it fully and still it takes a full minute to start. Yours started right up. Is that the case with your when cold that it starts right up when choked?

    • @Halscamp
      @Halscamp 8 місяців тому

      Depends on how cold it was outside. A cold start in the summer was pretty good maybe 10 to 15 seconds. A cold start in the winter when it was near 32 f or 0 Celsius it took around 30 seconds or so to start and sometimes you wondered if the battery would last long enough to start it but it always started. If it is taking a minute to start maybe your choke cable has to be adjusted to fully close the choke flap.

    If there is a slight burning smell accompanying the squeaking would you think it’s the same issue or something else?

    • @Halscamp
      @Halscamp 8 місяців тому

      possibly, as the bearing may be seized and the belt may be spinning on the (un-turning) bearing causing enough friction to cause the belt to get hot and give off a burning / melting rubber smell. If there is an electrical issue, wires can become hot and cause a burning smell like melting wires too though.
